Few sneakers carry the weight of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” and this upcoming holiday release might shape up to be one of Jumpman’s most crucial of all-time. A world’s first look at the legendary colorway’s return is here, further confirming that one of Jordan Brand’s most celebrated releases is set to arrive once again on December 12th, 2026.

It’s timed to coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the original Space Jam film, and the release is expected to headline Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2026 lineup. For sneaker and Jordan enthusiasts, the “Space Jam” Jordan 11s need little introduction. Originally worn by Michael Jordan during the 1995 NBA Playoffs before famously appearing in the 1996 film alongside Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes, the black patent leather masterpiece has evolved into one of the most coveted Air Jordans ever created.

Every retro release has marked a defining moment in sneaker culture. The first Retro drop in 2000 was among the most sought-after Jordans of the 2000s until its re-release in 2009. That launch became one of the most significant sneaker releases of its era, with thousands of consumers camping outside malls and retailers across the country in hopes of securing a pair. For many collectors, it was the release that helped usher in the modern sneaker boom that defined the 2010s.

When the shoe returned again in 2016, Jordan Brand selected the “Space Jam” to debut its Remastered initiative, rebuilding the Air Jordan 11 with a shape and construction more faithful to Michael Jordan’s original on-court pair. It was a fitting choice for one of the brand’s most revered silhouettes, and the community responded in loads because it turned out to be Trevor the “largest and most successful shoe launch in the history of Nike” as of 2017.

With 2026 marking the 30th Anniversary of the film, expect all the stops to be pulled. While we don’t know what Jordan Brand has planned in terms of marketing, we do have a first detailed look at the upcoming 2026 pair. Again, the product team is sticking true to original shapes and materials, keeping the “23” at the heel-tab. and the JUMPMAN JAM on the tie-bar on the tongue. Details surrounding the shoe’s packaging have yet to be disclosed.

Alongside the return of the “Space Jam,” Jordan Brand is expected to introduce the all-new Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam Galaxy,” further expanding the storytelling of the animated film’s universe.

Stay tuned to Sneaker News for additional details and exclusive updates as the Holiday 2026 launch approaches.
