You know something’s successful when you see it spawn sequels. In the case of Reebok ZigTech, the distinctive zig-zag cushion has attracted enough attention to its unique combination of ergonomics and support that there are more examples than you can count. In the case of this particular model, it also represents a follow-up on a variation to that successful formula, whereby the sole adds a backwards bend to achieve a more responsive ride. The Miami Dolphins colorway continues to be a prominent theme as we move into summer and Three Stripes gives us a more obtainable 1991 classic running alternative to the ‘ECP’ Asics Gel Lyte III. That makes you wonder when the adidas Originals Tech Super will finally get its first collab, but when you take a look at this latest in-house design, you realize they’re doing just fine. This one stands out from other recent MIA fare thanks to its stone suede toe, an earthy option that you’ll see up close below and in your sneaker rotation starting this June.

The Nike Air Max+ 2013 had a bunch of new colorways for summer hit NikeStore a little less than a month ago. Each of those is exuberant in its own right, but none of them have quite as much punch as this latest revelation. Right at home with the oft-utilized ‘Sprite’ designation, this newest Air Max 2013 will be one of the first to use the upcoming Prize Blue color, along with a splash of Flash lime through the middle. It’s not going to get an EXT designation because the Nike Free Powerlines+ 2 is already a Nike Sportswear creation, but here’s a new rendition that’ll be right at home alongside the casual Free Run+ 2 and other such styles. This first suede Powerlines II mixes Almond Brown with select yellow accents and the speckled sole that’s worked so well for this model. Its muted composition has tons of potential for other palettes, and since NSW tends to put styles like these into sets, you can expect to see other renditions of this template shortly. While a mid-April debut for a new ‘Windbreaker’ edition suggests that we’re not fully done with the ‘Yacht Club Pack’, these latest New Balance 574s do indeed indicate a shifting tide. Switching from an overt theme to a template that puts all the focus on colors and materials, the NB574 ‘CVF Pack’ comes off as a suede-saddled follow-up to the ‘Backpack’ collection that set the stage for all this 574 packing. We haven’t seen any collaborators reach back into Asics’ pre-Gel era runners, but lucklily there are more new in-house styles on the horizon. The Onitsuka Tiger Colorado ’85 takes us back almost three decades with its sleek upper and dual-density midsole, but this new charcoal and pink colorway is the kind of thing that’s become more fashionable in today’s age. Puma’s most popular runners these days tend to be from the early ’90s Blaze era or today’s Bioweb or Faas releases. The company traces its roots back to 1924, so you know they’ve been making kicks for much longer, and today we see a celebration for a style that passed its 35th birthday last year.
