Sneaker News is currently looking for part time writers to work from home and we have two full time positions for writers to work in house in our office in downtown NYC.

Please keep in mind, we receive a lot of applications and unfortunately we don’t have time to get back to everyone. So if you don’t hear from us after your second application, we are sorry but you don’t really fit the requirements of the job.

Also, its a good idea to proof read and spell check, this is for a writing job so your best bet is the have the most polished writing sample possible.

PART TIME VIRTUAL WRITER REQUIREMENTS:
Please read the requirements carefully.

• Must have excellent college level writing skills.
• Must be self motivated. You are a self starter.
• You don’t have writers block and can come up with an excellent detailed paragraph on any particular subject on the spot.
• Have excellent sneaker knowledge.
• Available for a 3 hour period during the hours of 12pm est and 8pm est at least 3 days a week.
• Use AIM instant messenger.
• Blogging knowledge
• Photo editing knowledge

FULL TIME IN HOUSE WRITER REQUIREMENTS:
Please read the requirements carefully.

• Must have excellent college level writing skills.
• You are a self starter and must be self motivated.
• You don’t have writers block and can come up with an excellent detailed paragraph on any particular subject on the spot.
• Have excellent sneaker knowledge, you are well versed in the 26 years of Air Jordan history, you know MJ’s birthday, his favorite drink, his shoe size, etc. In addition 20+ years of Nike Air Max, 25 years of Air Force 1s, general Nike, adidas, Puma, New Balance and Reebok knowledge.
• Available to work in our office at least 4 days a week. 12 to 7pm
• Blogging knowledge
• Photo editing knowledge, you will need to edit photos on a daily basis.
• Good knowledge of web based utilities, Google search, RSS, twitter, etc

Salary starts by the post and will transition to hourly rate after the initial training process. You will be reviewed at the end of every month for the first three months. Pluses but not required:

• Knowledge of wordpress and blogging
• A good eye for design and photo selection
• Have worked in a sneaker store or in the sneaker industry
