Sneaker News brought you exclusive photos courtesy of our fam at FRESHNESS detailing the ?uestlove x Nike Dunk High event at Nike Sportswear in New York and now video has surfaced from last Friday’s 21 Mercer launch party. If pictures are worth a thousand words then Quest’s assertion that the “Dunks are the only sneakers that can be fashionable either brand new or worn out,” speaks volumes as to why he chose this model for his second NSW collaboration. Only time will tell how history views Questlove’s Dunks relative to his ostentatious 1World Air Force 1s, but the one thing we do know for certain is that when you click on the jump below you can watch the video in its entirety. With the Nike Air Max 2011+ available for customization right out the gate and new options for the Air Max 90 and AM95 following soon after, it was only a matter before the shoe that started it all got an update. The Nike Air Max 1 iD brings a bunch of new colors for spring in materials including mesh, ‘trail woven’ textile, crinkled patent leather, synthetic suede and luxurious boot leather. You can get an icey translucent outsole, but we’re just as excited to see the crepe sole carry over from last year. But as was the case with those spongey soles, these appear to be available exclusively at the NIKEiD Studio at 21 Mercer in New York, so click through to see more and stick with Sneaker News so we can let you know if they pop up online.

This past Thursday, Sneaker News brought you word of the Questlove x Nike Dunk High launch event at Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer flagship store and now thanks to the fam over at FRESHNESS, we have exclusive photos of the party. There were surprises galore in NYC on Friday night as the first five lucky sneakerheads in line were each given free kicks and everyone had the opportunity to get theirs signed by the designer. ?uest’s personal touch extended all the way to special edition NSW shoe boxes and later to a raucous DJ set.
