It makes complete sense that Jordan Brand selected this base of White and Red, because Chicago is, after all, Michael Jordan’s “home” city. Have you ever seen this version of the Air Jordan 11? Owned by collector Randy Fernandez, the shoe features a totally reworked kit as far as the sole is concerned and also strips out the standard ballistic mesh up top in favor of an all leather build. According to the owner they are a prototype version of the Air Jordan XI, although the aforementioned sole sort of has them looking like a turf takedown. Remember those Air Jordan bags that used to hang around outlets forever? The kind that had actual soles from pairs like the Air Jordan 6 or the Air Jordan 3 utilized for the bottom? Shown here is one of those that we’ve certainly never seen before, an Air Jordan 11 “Bred” bag. Like the other Air Jordan laptop bags before it, the design of the shoe is also evident in the rest of the contstruction. What’s funny about this particular sample bag is that they didn’t get the “Bred” equation quite right – the coloring on the carbon fiber is a little off. One of the more impressive ones in terms of player exclusives owned is CC Sabathia, a man whose sneaker prowess is on display here with this pair of “Concord” Jordan 11s. The biggest cosmetic difference across the upper is hidden on the back tab, where his #52 shows up in place of the typical MJ detailing there.
