The most recent viewing of the “growing on us” Air Jordan IX in Photo Blue proved that what we saw earlier with the white outsole was not the final product. Instead, we’ll be treated with a tonal-black set-up with a ‘Penny’ look achieved by the Photo Blue accents on the upper, like the logos on the heel and the outsole and a ample contrast stitching on the upper. Maybe the appeal on these is growing because they’re very similar to Penny Hardaway’s Player Exclusive that we showed you a few months back? Let us know what you think of these and maybe your opinion on these will flip (in either direction) because we have a lot of time until the November 3rd release date.

Despite what may be confirmed for the near future, things can still change; here’s the latest viewing of the upcoming Air Jordan IX Retro in the Black/Photo Blue colorway; if you haven’t pointed it out just yet, check out the outsole, which has been changed to a solid black color from the white seen in earlier photos. What remains in the black midsole and the black/photo blue contrast on the upper, but even with the minor alteration to the outsole, these still exude that Penny Hardaway PE goodness, don’t they? Unless your name is Penny Hardaway you’ve probably never had a chance at picking up an Air Jordan IX with the straight black blue look. Fortunately for us common folk the chance is on the horizon, as Jordan Brand is prepping this pair, the Air Jordan IX ‘Photo Blue’, for a release come November amongst a strong crop of other pairs from the same silhouette.
