Nike Big Nike High GS Valentines Day

With the holiday season coming to a close, we’ve been dishing out a steady stream of previews for what’s in store for the early part of 2012. And as February draws near, you can expect to see a handful of holiday tie-ins dropping on or around February 14th. This Valentines Day sneaker comes in the form of the Big Nike High, an OG basketball sneaker from the Swoosh that was pretty quiet this calender year. Its upcoming return will strike in GS sizes, with a bit more playful approach then also-rumored Valentines Day release the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’. Get the full look at this upcoming Big Nike High after the jump and stick with us for word on a US release. via mita

Big Nike High White Royal | OG Pair on eBay

The Big Nike High was one of the many Nike Basketball sneakers that released in 1986, falling along the lines of the Nike Dynasty, Convention, Legend, etc. and released in a number of forms – the High, the 3/4, the Low, and the Pro. Nike Sportswear re-released the Big Nike High just a couple of years ago, although it didn’t really grasp the wide popularity of other mid-80′s Nike Basketball sneakers like the Dunk and Terminator, but we did see some interesting releases like the Kobe Bryant ‘Kill Bill’ version and the ‘Wolverine’ Quickstrike. Here’s a look at an OG pair of the Big Nike High in a plain White/Royal Blue colorway; it’s in astounding shape considering the age of these vintage kicks (thanks to the high quality leather), and although these are unwearable, these would be a great display piece if you’ve got a nice Nike shrine in your pad. Check out the extra images after the jump and pick up this rare gem from flosa213 on eBay.
