NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 5/18 5/20

The Second Round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs is mid-way through and we’ve already seen an impressive library of sneakers from the games biggest stars and even the lesser-known sneakerhead ballers. The two names to highlight this weekend are both from Los Angeles – Kobe Bryant and young swingman Nick Young of the Clippers; Kobe shed ‘Elite’ by wearing a White/Purple/Green PE of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, which he followed with the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Christmas’, but Nick might’ve done him one better by wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Royal’ during Sunday’s match-up against the Spurs, which followed an unprecedented appearance of the Nike Air Zoom Generation in the ‘First Game’ colorway. Of course, there’s much more to see, like Eric Bledsoe’s Metallic Red Foams, LeBron’s Black/Gold Elites, and Paul George’s sick Fade Option Kobe VII iD, so check it all out below and let us know who rocked the best kicks! NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 5/11 5/13

Just a small handful of games went down over the weekend, but what the NBA lacked in number, it overcompensated with heated competition and some new sneaks! The Los Angeles Clippers finally put away the tough Memphis Grizzlies as Chris Paul and his CP3.V led the Clippers to victory. Teammate Nick Young wore the best kicks though, wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’ to match the Away uni. On the other side, Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzles brought back the Air Max Tempo in White/Navy. The other LA squad advanced to the second round as well, led by Kobe Bryant who wore the ‘Lakers’ colorway of the Zoom Kobe VII ‘Dart Frog’. The East was already on the Semi-Finals round of play, as LeBron wore the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ and teammate Dwyane Wade chipped in with the Fly Wade 2 EV. Paul George, who has been Kobe VII-friendly this season, broke out the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite ‘Away’. The final game of the weekend was between Philly and Boston, led by Rajon Rondo’s Zoom Huarache 2K4 iD. More of the NBA below, so take a look and stay tuned for more!  Photos: espn

NBA Feet: Around The 2012 Playoffs 5/9 5/10

The First Round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs is nearing its end, with two match-ups waiting for a decisive Game 7 to be determined. Kobe and the Lakers failed to close out their showdown with the Nuggets thanks to Ty Lawson’s career game (balling in the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Cool Grey’). The other LA team is still stuck in First Round limbo, as the Grizzlies staved off elimination with a key Game 5 victory. But six of the eight Second Round teams have already been established – one of them being the Miami Heat, who finally extinguished the battered Knicks in Game 5. To round out the headlines from the last two nights: The Sixers ‘upset’ the Rose-less Bulls, Tracy McGrady still hasn’t seen the Second Round, and Blake Griffin’s Hyperdunk Elites go under the microscope. Check out the highlights of the NBA from the last two nights and stay tuned for more 2012 NBA Playoffs coverage. Photos: espn

Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV White Red Yellow

LeBron James is better than Dwyane Wade. Well, that’s according to Dwyane Wade, who recently stated that LeBron is ‘the man’ of the team. That in itself can be debatable, but Wade is just as important as LeBron is to Miami’s Championship run, as witnessed in Games 1 and 2. During the first two games against the Knicks, Dwyane Wade has been wearing a White/Red/Yellow colorway of the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV, and it’s become apparent that they are not an unattainable PE, but a GR release that should hit stores soon. More on this new colorway of the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV below, so take a look and we’ll keep you updated with other colorway ‘ol Wade wears for the upcoming games in the First Round series against the Knicks.

Jordan Brand Gears Up For The 2012 Playoffs

The Jordan Brand Big Three spent a few extra days off this week to rest for the big stage, currently scheduled to kick off tomorrow. Out West, Chris Paul will lead Lob City against the tough Memphis Grizzlies squad wearing two PE colorways of the Jordan CP3.V, which shuffles around the Clippers’ crest of White, Red, and Varsity Royal. In the East, Melo and Wade will meet in a collision down in Miami, as the Heat invite the Knicks to their Home Court for Game 1 of their series. Carmelo Anthony will wearing two Playoff colorways of the Jordan Melo M8, while Dwyane Wade will make the official transition to the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV (with a third ‘Cool Grey’-like colorway also in the mix). Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV White Black Varsity Red

Even though it’s not entirely clear where the money would come from, Dwyane Wade recently voiced his opinion that the USA Basketball Olympic squad should be compensated for their time. And while that will probably never happen, D-Wade is indeed getting a little something extra from Jordan Brand in time for NBA Playoff action. Maybe the more optimistic LeBron James can remind his teammate that he’s dealing with a have-and-eat-cake situation here, as the artist formerly known as ‘Flash’ will take this new sleeker Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV for a spin during some Heat home games before heading off to London for the 2012 Olympic Games. The upgrades in technology and aesthetics are as clear as the Flywire you’ll see in more detailed images below, so take a look and let us know how these compare to the initial Fly Wade 2 design. NBA Feet: Around The League 4/12 4/13

Finishing off another solid week of NBA Feet is a recap of Wednesday and Thursday games, which featured plenty of Air Jordans, Player Exclusives, and Nike Retro Basketball kicks. Gilbert Arenas made his first appearance with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, while teammate Rudy Gay took the court with the Nike Air Max Tempo. Dwyane Wade rocked a Black/Red PE of the Jordan Fly Wade 2, while Kevin Durant led the Thunder wearing the Nike N7 Zoom KD IV in the Home colorway. Plenty more to see below, so take a look and let us know who brought the best heat to the NBA court! Photos: espn

NBA Feet: Around The League 4/9 4/10

Some mid-week NBA Feet goodness here, starting with a pair of Air Jordan IIIs – Paul George’s ‘True Blue’ and Shannon Brown’s ‘Black/Cement’. Other notables included Jordan Crawford’s Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ aka ‘Greatest Non-OG Air Jordan‘, Demar DeRozan’s tonal-red Kobe VII iD, and Donte Green’s Nike Zoom Rookie LWP. The most interesting sneaker selection comes from Dwyane Wade, who once again wore the Jordan Fly Wade ‘Marquette’ PE; for someone with a signature shoe, he certainly shuffles his rotation around quite a bit! We’ve got a good look at the at some more selections below so take a look and let us know who rocked the best kicks. via espn
