You know by now that Jigga is a Jordan-head. Despite his propensity for luxury brands and the massive clout he has to dumb out on the high-end fashion tip, he is still caught in Air Jordans fairly frequently. Last time we saw Jay it was in the Otis video rocking the ‘Banned’ Air Jordan 1′s, and in the above shot we see him in 1′s again, this time the Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Celtics’. The photo is from an interview between Jay and industry old-guard Steve Stoute, aka the dude who Puffy was cracking bottles over back in the 90′s. Let us know how this ranks among Jay-Z’s other sneakerhead moments and take a look at listings for the Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Celtics’ after the jump. via Complex/AOL.

Few, if any at all, carry the amount of respect and tradition as the Nike Air Force 1 Low. It’s no wonder that it’s often used for commemorative releases and special editions, like this distinct all-white Air Force 1 Low made in honor of streetball legend John ‘Franchise’ Strickland. Strickland, who passed away last year, was also a childhood friend of Brooklyn-born hip-hop artist Jay-Z; Strickland coined the phrase ‘Finish Your Breakfast’, which described the act of ‘schooling’ your defender and scoring off the dribble, and was later used by Jay-Z in the ‘PSA’ track in The Black Album. Strickland’s death last October left a profound indent in the basketball and streetball circle, with numerous figures in support expressing support and mourning.
While all-white in nature, the Air Force 1 Low ‘Finish Your Breakfast’ features a number of personalized details, like the tongue label, a Nike NYC logo on the insole, ‘Franchise’ molded into the leather on the heels, and ‘XI’ featured on the heel-tabs. According to fendi_nyc on ISS, the quality of the leather used is of premium grade, and reminiscent of Air Force 1 Low releases from over a decade ago. He further states that the ‘Finish Your Breakfast’ Air Force 1 Low will be a very limited release in the coming months – possibly in October to recognize the one-year anniversary of his untimely passing. Continue reading for a detailed look at this new development and let us know what you think. Thanks to youreflyness for the heads up.

The much anticipated debut of the music video for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Otis’ went live, featuring the two hip-hop juggernauts dipping around an American flag back-dropped lot in a modified Maybach with a backseat full of ladies and a little stunt driving help from comedian, Aziz Ansari. Jay-Z and Kanye were both seen in Air Jordan Retros, which might not have been a huge surprise, but is obviously always a nice touch, especially when it’s a team effort. Kanye wore the Air Jordan VI, a shoe that we’ve seen the hip-hop mega-star wear time and time again, while Jay-Z, recently named the highest paid hip-hop artist in the world, wore a fresh pair of the Air Jordan 1 Banned. Check out a bunch more pics below and let us know who takes the “throne” when it comes to the ‘Otis’ kicks.

Jay-Z’s got enough money stashed in his bank accounts to afford himself every Air Jordan ever made, but it’s clear that the Brooklyn-native has a clear favorite. Jay-Z was spotted once again wearing the Air Jordan III Retro from the 2008 Collezione Package – the Black/Cement Grey colorway that Michael won his first NBA All-Star Game MVP trophy in. He was spotted dining in New York City on Friday night, enjoying a casual meal based on his dressed-down attire (can’t get any simpler with Jordans, jeans, and a t-shirt). Check out Jay-Z in his Air Jordans below and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet updates! via bossip.

Jay-Z has a thing for the Air Jordan III Black/Cement because here is, spotted once again in these Jordans. Jay-Z was a live performer at the Adult Swim Upfront 2011 Event at Roseland Ballroom in New York City, and he showed up wearing his trademark threads – a black t-shirt, a Yankees fitted, and the CDP IIIs. You may remember his last sighting with ‘em on last December while vacationing with Beyonce, and even during another live performance in October of 2009. It’s likely that Jay-Z’s got a closet filled with deadstock pairs, so keep ‘em coming, Jay. Check out the images from his live show below and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet coverage.

Jay-Z missed out on LeBron, he couldn’t come through with his ‘i’m payin’ Dwyane Wade.’ statement (from his hit single Empire State of Mind), and he couldn’t hook Carmelo. The Nets didn’t miss out on a superstar though, as they completed a deadline deal to acquire Deron Williams – a certified top-3 point guard in the game. Jay-Z was in attendance at the Nets game on Monday night wearing the Air Jordan III in White/Cement Grey, sitting courtside with wife Beyonce and chatting it up with his new superstar employee. The Air Jordan III seems to be a favorite of Hov’s because he wore the same shoes during the NBA All-Star Weekend, but there’s no doubt he has a few dozen pairs on ice sitting in his mansion. Ah, the hard knock life. Check out Jay-Z after the jump!
