Most sneakerheads, given three wishes, would almost certainly pick at least one of their holy grails, and since you’re not allowed to ask for more wishes, here’s another way of taking that theme meta.  Sneaker customizer and Blazer loyalist JBF is back with his latest take on the most classic of Nike Basketball silhouettes, this new Nike Blazer High ’Jafar’ custom inspired by the villain from Disney’s 1992 animated feature Aladdin.  There’s no Glibert Gottfried soundbites in the background, but the red suede, black leather and snakeskin Swooshes do indeed capture the feel of an evil villain who’s probably spent too much time out in the desert sun.  Click through to get a better look and let us know how these compare to JBF’s other Blazer customs.  via PaintOrThread

Sneaker customizer JBF has done most of his significant works on two different Nike Sportswear models, with about a half and half split of Blazers and Dunks getting the handmade touch.  His latest is another Nike Dunk Low, the latest iteration of which happens to be both very much alike and quite dissimilar from his carbon fiber designs last year.  On one hand, both these new joints and those old pairs relied on special materials, but instead of a technical lean, this new Swooshless model utilizes a textile on the underlay depicting each of the Air Jordan Retro cards, save the oft-maligned XV.  Click through to see more angles, let us know how these stack up to the ever growing list of Michael Jordan tribute custom sneakers and stick with Sneaker News for the best customs from around the world.

nike sb blazer hong kong jbf summary Nike SB Blazer Mid Hong Kong Customs By JBF

JBF Customs has worked some great magic with the Nike Blazer in the past. His mid-January ‘Jet-Life’ customs were spot on – a tribute to the surging New York Jets and the Curren$y’s popular single, and his 4/20 Hemp joints showed that a simple approach is all that’s needed. His next project is a salute to Hong Kong, using red suede on the uppers with a floral stitching inspired by the flag of Hong Kong. Additional detailing is seen on the swoosh, which is made of a white dragon brocade, the heel, which features Chinese characters that read ‘Hong Kong’, and the tongue, which houses logo of Hong Kong train system. Continue reading for a detailed look at JBF’s latest custom work and let us know if you’d cop if these ever released!

How can sneaker customizer JBF top his impressive Nike Blazer designs?  How about turning to the Nike Dunk, a model he offered last year in two different lowtop carbon fiber designs.  The above pictured model is considerably less technical in its approach, though texture plays a similarly significant role with lush purple suede giving way to a white-on-white flowery brocade.  They even feature quilted sockliners for that extra added comfort befitting the regal design.  Click through to see more of these ‘Geisha’ Dunk Highs and consider following JBF on Twitter, as he plans to offer a custom-custom (pick whatever design you like!) to his 1000th follower absolutely free of charge!
