One of the big draws to living in southern California is that, even during January, the weather’s so nice that locals talk about other parts of the US as actually ‘having seasons’. You can count on the LA area to stay nice and warm, and Long Beach is just now cooling off from the conclusion of the recently wrapped Agenda tradeshow that brought news of a huge variety of sneakers slated for later this year. Among the standouts in attendance were two new pairs of New Balance 1500s that carry the premium distinction of having been crafted at the Flimby Factory along with that familiar ‘Made in England’ tongue embroidery. Both pairs go with nubuck on the majority of their uppers, a chioce that gives navy blue and grey makeups an extra frosty appearance. Maybe that’s just the winter talking, but we’ll be glad to welcome these as a late summer/fall release, and you can see more images by clicking on the jump below. via F5

Nice Kicks switched things up a bit in going for perforated suede toeboxes on their New Balance 1500 collaboration, but the change looks to have been temporary judging by these upcoming releases for spring 2012. NB went back to that classic mix of suede and mesh for their latest duo of 1500s, each a success thanks to slightly different applications of the untouchable white/grey/black trio. One pair hints at a ‘Tiffany’ vibe with its mint green accents while another heads toward an interesting territory with dark blue and lemon yellow hits resulting in a somewhat more jarring look. Check out both pairs after the jump and pre-order yours before the February shipdate from End.

New Balance’s numbering scheme for classic runners is based roughly on higher numbers equalling more luxurious designs, and that puts the above pictured model in a class that’s right at the top of the list. The New Balance 1500 is famous for its lush suede and mesh releases and this new model absolutely nails the black/grey/white combo with a little mint green tossed in for good measure. They’d surely draw comparisons to the legendary ‘Tiffany’ Dunk SBs were these Swooshed, but instead they’re likely to be recieved on their own merits as an icey cool new NB just in time for the winter season. Can we get much higher? That question may be running through your mind as collaborators rush to grab bigger and bigger numbers on their New Balance concoctions. Concepts set the bar high early in the year with their Kennedy 999′s, but Crooked Tongues recently upped the ante with a 1500. Nice Kicks is following suit, getting together on a New Balance 1500 that should show up on December 16h. The sneaker mixes up red, grey, and white in tune with the theme of their website, although we’re sure none of our loyal readers would be familiar with that color scheme. (haha) Check out the full photos after the jump of this upcoming collabo between Nice Kicks and New Balance.

Regular Sneaker News readers will see these images and get the distinct sense that, though they’re clearly new, we’ve seen something like this before. That’s because the initial teaser images from the upcoming Crooked Tongues x New Balance 1500 depicted the UK-made kicks as mere stacks of their constituent parts, sculptures set to be made into ‘real’ art by one of Flimby’s finest. Today, England’s sneaker e-tailing OGs are back with a look into the actual construction process for their NB 1500s, and both the materials and process by which they’re transformed into their distinctive shape look better than ever. Click through to see more of this Saturday, October 15th release and let us know if you’ll work to get your hands on Crooked Tongues‘ New Balance 1500s.

When you first gaze upon this latest New Balance collaboration, you might have the vague impression that you’ve seen them before, and yet, there haven’t been any new 1500s quite like this before. That’s because the first time we saw the Crooked Tongues x New Balance M1500s, both pairs were laid out in their raw materials, unstitched and unassembled, vaguely reminiscent of the various Air Jordan sculptures that were circulating last year. But those familiar with the 1500 could already see what those ‘instructions’ were pointing toward, these new pairs relatively heavy on both leather and contrasting colors from a model best known in its OG grey suede edition. Have a closer look at a bunch of images after the jump and expect these at Crooked Tongues on October 15th with select distributors worldwide getting theirs in the following week.
