COMME des Garcons And New Balance Reveal The 990v5 And More

article image

With 2019 being an entirely new year for New Balance, it’s clear in their forthcoming releases that they will be pulling no punches. Revealed on the runway of Junya Watanabe’s Paris Fashion Week show — effectively surprising all as an unveiling of this magnitude is rarely seen by the Boston label — the illustrious fashion house of COMME des Garçons is gearing to unveil their own line of N-toting footwear. Including inspired colorways of the 1500, 990v5, and 574, the talented team behind some of the most notable works in fashion have inflicted their own minimal design taste onto a total of 6 new schemes. While most exhibit a more monochrome palette with little in the way of color-blocking aside from white overarching panels, one 574 tackles an entirely wheat motif characteristic of Fall, adding a bit of boot-like elements to what is anything but. Luxe fabrications are par for the course, adding in some sultry suedes as well as refined leathers. Take a look at the upcoming models below, and prepare for a smaller inbound drop on February 1st, which is said to include an exclusive 574 and 997S. If you’re interested in a few of the other models, however, prepare for the long wait ahead as they are set to bring in AW19 come August 1st.
