It was one of the most expensive basketball sneakers of the era and over the last few years, it has developed into a cult classic. The Air Foamposite One is composed of a seamless liquid Foam mold, a Zoom Air unit, and a carbon-fiber midfoot plate. We’re pretty certain Oregon Nights can’t hold a candle to Miami Nights, that is unless you prefer free-range food and bleak rain adfinitum to a tropical atmosphere filled with endless hedonistic delights. Mache’s version of the Oregon Nights does manage to measure up though, as the custom king ports that speckled look from the Nike LeBron line over onto a Nike Air Foamposite One pair. The result is a volt and chrome banger that manages the Oregon theme without coming off as entirely too Ducky. The Sweet 16 Round of the Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament is officially here, starting back at the Southwest Regional Bracket to kick things off as we get closer and closer to the winner of this year’s tournament. There are four great candidates to move on to the Elite 8 round, with the Foamposite One “ParaNorman” leading the way for the Metallic Silver Pro, Eggplant One, and Retro Blue Pro. After the Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament wrapped up the First Round of voting last night, we’d like to present to you the Sweet 16 that our readers selected to move on in battle. All #1 Seeds still remain, but there are several upsets that we must take note of (remember fellas, these are your votes talking!). The largest upset in terms of seeding came from the Southwest bracket, as the 2012 Pink Foamposite took down the most limited Air Foamposite One to hit retail in the Dark Army (under 100 pairs released), but other eye-catching results include the Bright Crimson Pro beating out the original Voltage in the East bracket and the Silver Pro outgunning the Carolina in the Southwest. If you want a full breakdown of the results, check out the voting percentages for each match-up below.

This year’s Sneaker News March Madness Tournament explores the rainbow of Foamposites released since the injected foam material and its two signature releases debuted sixteen years ago. Thirty-two of the best are ranked so you can pick the greatest ever, the culmination of which will occur right after the release of perhaps the single cleanest design possible. The ‘Whiteout’ Nike Air Foamposite One ends March with a stripped-down approach to coloring that serves as the opposite of the rare two-tone build on the ‘Phoenix Suns’ edition. It’s a perfect summer colorway on arguably the hottest single model on the market, and you can see a new set of images after the jump while we wait on for the Friday, March 29th release date.

Last night, Sneaker News unveiled the final brackets and seedings of the thirty-two Nike Foamposites selected for the Sneaker News March Madness Foamposite Tournament. We’ll kick off the official voting with the West bracket, featuring notable seeds like the original “Royal” and the recently released “Fighter Jet” Foamposite. With a true clash of old uniform colorways and new bright colors and graphics, there is no clear-cut winner because the older and newer generations of Foamposite fans certainly have contrasting opinions, so be sure to get your votes in today as we kick off the First Round of the Tournament with the West bracket. We will open up voting for the remaining brackets (Southwest, East, and Southeast) in the following days, with ALL First Round polls stay open until Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 PM EST.

There’s no doubt that we’re on the tail end of the ‘South Beach’ wave popularity goes as far as that infamous LeBron colorway is concerned. That’s not to say that there aren’t still folks interested in the eye-popping blue and pink combination. The Nike Air Foamposite One graced store shelves in a slew of loud colorways, and 2012 saw the release of two graphic concepts that really opened a new door for this legendary Nike Basketball shoe. This March 29th, Nike Sportswear will re-introduce the Air Foamposite One in what they call the brightest color in the spectrum: white. Today, Nike presents this exciting upcoming release in a great black-and-white profile, accentuating the vibrant nature of a crisp white upper, so check out the images below and stay tuned for a release later this month.
