Nike Air Max 90 Black Medium Grey Canvas

The year is young and the Nike Air Max 90 has already been branching out quite a bit, suiting up in different materials left and right. We saw a denim drop a month back, and now a duo of canvassed releases are on their way. Following the obsidian pair is something a bit more inconspicuous, the black/medium grey version shown here that uses a shadowy mixture for the upper. With the more traditional suede and mesh runners sticking with the popping colors, lifestyle looks like this are coming through with the understated combos. Hit the jump to check out this Nike Air Max 90 and you’re feeling them then head to Titolo to grab a pair.

Nike Air Max 90 Obsidian Canvas

The Nike Air Max 90 has been all over the map in 2012, with releases and previews ranging from the classic OG Infrared blocking style in leather, suede and mesh to more boisterous colorways and newfangled construction variants. This new pair is somewhere in the middle, a departure from the original to be sure, but certainly more conservative than something like the argyle-lined ‘Lacrosse’ edition we recently previewed. These Air Max 90s come in Obsidian canvas with University Blue and white accents that looks the part of a Tobacco Road runner, and there’s a black/grey pair coming up in the same pattern, as well as another Obsidian joint leaning further toward denim. Should be a good stretch here as these start to hit retail, but the big question is which one to pick? You can see more of these below, then check for them at Nike Sportswear stockists like Titolo.

Nike WMNS Air Max 90 Mulberry Jersey Gold

So you liked the latest Nike Air Max 90 for women, right down to its snakeskin-textured camo accents and Jersey Gold sole, but think that the royal blue shade on those might be a bit too masculine? Look no further than this new WMNS Air Max 90 in Mulberry, a design that’s blocked bit-for-bit as the Stormblue joints, but with a decidedly more feminine feel thanks to the abundance of burgundy. Especially with the snake elements, these have a sort of formalized Lakers look to them, but the overall effect is a bit subtler than your average purple and gold getup. Click through for more angles and look for these soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers or get them now from online sellers like id4shoes on eBay.

Nike Air Max 90 White Dark Shadow Red

What would happen if you took the Nike Air Max 90‘s best known colorway and toned down the intensity on the black and red sections?  The first answer that comes to mind upon seeing this new pair is “Another beautiful AM90″, but let’s be more specific about what they’re bringing to the table.  This is one of many Ninetys this spring done up with the beloved ‘Infrared’ OG blocking pattern, and just like the other releases that’re more widely available, these opt for a shift on the mudguard rather than the OG black (Dark Shadow grey, in this case).  This in combination with a more conventional red than the Infra- variety gives these a fresh but familiar feel, but the only way you’ll ever have them in your hands them is to get in touch with JD Sports.

Nike WMNS Air Max 90 Stormblue Jersey Gold

The last Air Max 90 for women Nike Sportswear offered was a continuation of the VacTech collection that’d expanded throughout the fall/winter season, and while this latest edition does indeed echo a design theme we first saw on another model, it’s one that’s strictly ladies-only. The Nike WMNS Air Max 90 is back in a bold Storm Blue leather design whose Swoosh and ankle collar feature the same kind of snakeskin-textured camouflage print we saw on several WMNS Air Force 1 Lows. Given how those AF1s were gradually revealed, it’s not unfathomable to imagine other colorways in a similar style, so click through to see this pair and let us know if these have any 1.5-up potential. via Kicks-crew

Nike Air Max 90 Canvas Obsidian + Black

Originally wrapped in suede and mesh, the Air Max 90 hits us again in 2012 in two new lifestyle-friendly builds comprised of full canvas uppers. The Obsidian pair is matched with the cool University Blue, while the Black pair attacks with a grey secondary unit for a two-toned punch that’ll have any Air Max 90 fan weak at the knees. Along with the Air Max 1, the Air Max 90 has become the go-to source of sport-heritage lifestyle sneakers, and with an onslaught of sick releases like these, it’ll continue to own that role for as long as Nike stays relevant (estimated to be forever). Check out the individual shots below and check your Nike Sportswear retailer soon as these have hit Euro spot Chmielna20.

Nike Air Max 90 Premium White Leather

When it comes to the Nike Air Max 90, it’s hard to argue that the most popular look for this classic runner is anything but the OG one. We’re all familiar with the beauty of the black mudguard and bright white mesh with a nice color pop thrown in there-but sometimes you need something a bit cleaner. Enter the Nike Air Max 90 Premium in white leather, a sneaker whose counterpart popped up a few weeks back. The star of the show here is the upgraded material selection, namely the white leather that comes with a tumbled look for a more luxurious feel. The shot above shows off the tumbled treament, but you’re gonna want to check the rest of after the jump, trust us. No word yet on a US release but these can be had now via Caliroots’ online presence.

Nike Air Max 90 Lacrosse

The Nike Air Max 90 is a sneaker that has long been removed from its original context as a runner, enjoying a seemingly endless lifespan in the retro realm. So while this upcoming colorway is apparently a lacrosse-tailored combo, we can expect the sneaker to again be lifted from context as heads grab at this colorful pair. Along with the Easter-y palette for the uppers, the lining comes with a smart looking argyle print to cement the ‘Sunday best’ look. The preppy combo seems to stand in opposition to the rough and tumble nature of Lacrosse, perhaps giving players a chance to show off their gentler side off of the field. Follow us after the jump for some extra shots at this crossover release from Nike Lacrosse, which will apparently be available primarily at spots specializing in LAX gear. via IL

Nike Air Max 90 Black White Neutral Grey Midnight Fog

Nike Sportswear seems to be toning down the palette of the Nike Air Max 90 more and more with their continued retro releases. A look through the recent colorways sees the brightest of pairs left on the cutting room floor, with the ones that showed up at retail opting for exciting materials rather than popping colors to carry them. The latest, shown here in a bit of a stealth colorway, again keeps the color to a minimum with a mixture of blacks and whites on the upper. Are you feeling the more laid back look or are you thirsty for more colorful pairs? Let us know in the comments and pick these up from Shelta if you’re in the former category.

Complexs 25 Best Nike Air Max Sneakers Of All Time

The original tag line for the debut of the Nike Air Max 1 was “Nike Air is not shoe”. Twenty-five years later, that notion holds true, because Air Max – aside from its performance value – has driven the sneaker game into collector madness with its classics taking the spotlight front and center. Many will confess to owning multiple pairs of Air Max 1s, 90s, and 95s, but let’s not forget that Air Max went beyond the confines or running and into training and basketball, creating its own legacy within each individual sport. Of course, there were the cult-classics along the way, like the nylon-uppered Air Max Deluxe and the ‘Spidermans’ in the Air Max 120 in the running sector, the Speed Turf Max, which will make a triumphant return later this year, and the LeBron 9, which continues to popularize Air Max in the sport of basketball that had been previously dominated by Zoom. Complex just put together a list of the 25 best Air Maxes of all-time, so see if you can guess which came up at number 1!
