NIKE BLAZER MID The Nike Blazer Mid is a slightly altered version of the Nike Blazer High, the first of Nike’s foray into the world of basketball sneakers together with the Bruin. The Nike Blazer Mid features a smoother side wall on the rubber midsole along with a strip of foxing running along the base of the upper in comparison to the Nike Blazer High. The Nike Blazer Mid remains the less retro’d of these two closely related sneakers.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Independence Day” isn’t the only patriotic style for the summer that Nike Sportswear has in the works. Also coming is this Nike Blazer Mid pair, which wears stripes for the base while adding in some stars onto the Swoosh, back panel, and foxing strip. Come to think of it this pair could also be a World Cup tie in meant to amp up USMNT support – we’ll have to wait and see on the timing of both to determine where their true allegiance lies. Nike Blazer Mid “Floral City Pack” – Release Date

May 23rd, 2014 by | 8 comments

floral pack nike blazer mid city Nike Blazer Mid Floral City Pack Release Date

The Nike Blazer Mid “Floral City Pack” will release on May 31st, 2014. The tie in to each of the associated cities actually runs deeper than just a quick script hit on the back side. Chicago’s pair has a chrysanthemums print as an ode to the official flower of the Windy City, the LA’s bird’s of paradise approach is meant to represent the always-sunny nature of that spot, and the NYC dandelion drop apparently has to do with the “wishful thinking and the quick pace” of life in city. Get the official imagery for each of them below and stay tuned for further sneaker release dates.

Normally when you see a pair of floral Blazers it’s a safe bet that they’re from the Liberty x Nike collection, but that’s not the case this time around. NSW has decided to own that look on this new trio of releases for that classic hoops shoe and orient each of towards a different US city. There are NYC, Chicago, and LA pairs, with all of the three shoes in the pack sporting distinct patterns. See each of these Nike Blazer Mids from the City Pack after the click and pick them up today from retailers like Social Status or on their official release date of 5/31 from Nike.

The lush Liberty London fabrics aren’t Nike’s only way of doing the floral thing. This time around they’ve done it without any outside help on the Nike Blazer Mid “Floral” pack, which spans three different sneakers and sports plenty of bright, blooming looks. Generally you’d expect this sort of pack to be a women’s one, but there’s no evidence to support that just yet. Continue reading to see these floral Blazers from Nike Sportswear and then give us a heads up in the comments as far as which one is your favorite.

nike blazer vintage turquoise obsidian Nike Blazer Vintage Turquoise + Obsidian

If the Nike Blazer “Vintage Pack” did not satisfy your appetite for vintage style builds of that sneaker that helped Nike hop into the basketball sneaker market way back in the 70s then fear not, as there are more on the way. Landing outside of that range but still being of the faux-vintage persuasion (No yellowing this time around) is this duo featuring two different heights. Get with us after the click to see both the turquoise and the obsidian for these new Blazers and hope with us that they don’t end up as some of the many Blazers to never hit here in the states.

Nike Sportswear Womens Cut-Out Pack

A new set of Nike “cut out” styles for women just popped up over on Nikestore. What exactly does the “cut out” approach consist of though? First seen on this Nike WMNS Air Max 1, the build opts for broad, swooping incisions in the place where you’d normally see stitches holding together the sneakers. The aforementioned AM1 is available now – as are a pair of Blazers and sneaker wedge Dunk Sky His that do the same thing (Although we can’t help but wonder if the catalog images shown are entirely accurate given their similarity to the old “Disco Ball” pack). Continue reading to get the evidence and grab yours today from Nikestore.
