Jared Ebanks As the namesake inspiration behind The Swooshes monicker, the Goddess of Victory has served as both a literal and metaphorical representation of the Beaverton brand for decades. Returning to inspire an expansive slate of the banner’s lifestyle offerings, the winged Greek goddess now executes an outfit atop an all-new Nike Blazer Phantom Mid.
Boasting a revitalized semi-translucent sole unit, the contemporary redesign employs a rounded aesthetic below in contrast to the puffed-up leather overlays stretched across the upper while an added lip of leather enacts a full-length mudguard. Thickening its crisp white mid-foot Swoosh, the neutral ensemble embarks upon a split color blocking as further colorless shades envelop the forefoot, laces and the embossed tumbled leather tongue tab while “Light Smoke Grey” hues consume the heel. While the updated tread and midsole underfoot explore an icy blue finish, a similar faint blue treatment concludes atop the quarter overlay and tongue construction bringing a close to the monochrome, statue-inspired palette.
Accompanied by cork insoles and premium leather hang tags that bear the Greek Goddesses’ motif, enjoy official images of the Nike Blazer Phantom Mid “Goddess of Victory” below as we await further release details.
For more summer-ready efforts from the Beaverton-based brand, the Nike Vapormax Plus recently came cured in a clad burgundy colorway.
