All signs are pointing to this weekend’s What the LeBron 11 release being the swan song for the LeBron 11 proper. There’s is still the Nike LeBron 11 Low “China” to look out for in a couple of weeks, but the aforementioned What the LeBrons should be the last pair for the more standard mid cut. So before the Nike LeBron 12 gets officially unveiled next week at Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, we wanted to give this highly popular sneaker a final farewell by listing the 23 best LeBron 11 releases that have come our way since last September.

The “World’s Baddest Pick Up Game” final, the culmination of the 2014 Nike World Basketball Festival in Barcelona, had plenty of bad sneakers showing up on court (Bad meaning good, that is). We’ll focus on the team captains specifically: Anthony Davis showed up with the Red October Yeezy 2 and Kyrie Irving had on the upcoming LeBron 11 Low China. There was much more to see at the event though, like the skills on display from the remaining cream of the crop players picked from the 10,000 athletes who submitted their “Baddest” moves to become a part of the game. The Nike “What The LeBron” Trilogy

September 9th, 2014 by | 16 comments

what the lebrons The Nike What The LeBron Trilogy

All signs point to this year’s What the LeBron 11 being the most accessible of the sneakers to come from that mash-up line. It all started with the What the LeBron 9, a sneaker that now looks almost tame in comparison to the upcoming 11. That shoe of course never made it to retail – it wasn’t until the MVP LeBron X the next year made the “What The” theme a reality as far as retail pick ups. Which brings us to this year’s entry, which has been promised to be more readily available than your average “What The” release. Continue reading for a recap of all the What the LeBrons to date and tell us in the comments which has been your favorite.

The Nike “What The LeBron” 11 is Not As Limited As You Think

what the lebron 11 limited The Nike What The LeBron 11 is Not As Limited As You Think

Back when the What the KD 6 launched, we told you that the shoes would be less limited than previous “What The” mash-ups. The good news is that the same will be true for this weekend’s What the LeBron 11. Nike has again recognized the demand for these hybrid styles and has responded with higher production numbers that should ensure that even more of you will be able to access them. You’ll of course still have to put in work if you want a pair – they’re not going to be sitting on shelves by any means – but it’s good to know that Nike has listened to demands about production numbers on pairs like this. See more photos below courtesy of Oneness and then see if you can snag an early pair on eBay.

Even though the LeBron 12 is right around the corner, Nike hasn’t yet closed the book on the LeBron 11. They’re not available quite yet, but stores like Villa will have them come this Saturday’s official release. See more photos on the Nike LeBron 11 Low GS “Philippines” below to help you make up your decision.
