Before making ties with the U of M, Kentucky, and Ohio State, before moving to South Beach, and certainly before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the #1 overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft, LeBron James was affiliated with St. Vincent-St. Mary High School – an Akron-based High School where BronBron Dunkman’ed his way to the top of the list of NBA prospects. Get ready, Sneaker News readers! Over the course of the day we’ve got a trio of new Nike LeBron 9 high school player exclusives to share with you, starting with the one most strongly connected with the man himself as well as his signature series. The LeBron 9 ‘SVSM’ comes in a bold home-court construction whose white framing is contrasted by deep forest green insets and just a hint of gold to keep the Irish theme going. It’s not like you wouldn’t know who these were for, anyway, as a huge tongue emblem displaces LeBron’s signature that surpasses the released versions of the Miami, Kentucky and Ohio State PEs. The St. Vincent-St. Mary edition clearly has what it takes to compete against the D-1′s big boys, but what about the nation’s other top prep squads? Stick with Sneaker News to see if these make it to retail, and check out the sample pair offered by afujino on eBay in the meantime.
