The Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer 2 has taken an interesting path to market, this model first previewed back in spring as a 2012 release having dropped in a Chicago baseball-themed two-pack before disappearing for nearly three more months. Seriously, not even a peep, and then BAM! out of nowhere; perhaps that’s the kind of speed effective training gets you. The Zoom Huarache TR 2 has just popped up available in two colorways you could equally easily associate with Chi-town, two additional looks relying on blue accents soon to follow. Check out the whole quartet after the jump and then grab yours straight from NikeStore.

The Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid was chosen as one of Sneaker News’ thirty best of 2010, a selection that many of our readers seemed to agree with. So why was the debut for the Zoom Huarache 2 – an apparent sequal to the Zoom Huarache TR Mid – so quiet? The Zoom Huarache 2 shares the same midsole platform with a similar upper and ankle construction, but comes without a stability strap and wings and features a larger, more prominent swoosh on the upper. These two releases make up the ‘Chicago’ Pack, representing the intra-city rival White Sox and Cubs of the Windy City. Both pairs also feature pinstriped inner lining (to match the uniforms) and special insoles, detailing train maps that connect the landmark stadiums to the rest of the city. These are available now at Chicago retailers SNYX, but stick with Sneaker News for more information and updates on the Nike Zoom Huarache 2.

Are we looking at the first images of Amare’ Stoudemire’s next weapon of choice? Check out the initial preview shots of the Nike Zoom Huarache TR 2, a cross-trainer that gained fame this NBA season when the Knicks’ explosive big man brought the team back to the playoffs while wearing a range of New York-themed player exclusive colorways. The first three here aren’t anywhere close, but the two-toned looks are solid and the silver/neon edition is sure to turn heads. Click through to examine some additional images and let us know how these compare to the first Zoom Huarache Trainer. via CK
