Who hasn’t caught on with Linsanity yet? The basketball phenom known as Jeremy Lin has taken the global basketball horizon by storm, accelerating at blinding speeds to a level of superstardom that has generated excitement all throughout the world. Attempts to measure his impact on the game of basketball have been made, but with Linsanity continuing to spread at fast paces, it might be better of to sit back and enjoy the ride. He’s become one of the biggest fan attractions during the month of February, selling out crowds both at Home and Away, while earning the top spot in merchandise sales while being mentioned in the same breath as the LeBrons, Wades and Kobes of the league.
Jeremy Lin was signed on as a Nike basketball athlete for his potential and his global presence long before Linsanity, but his recent rise in fame was enough reason for Nike to place their newly-minted star in the spotlight by introducing Lin’s current in-game selection, the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low, in a special Nike iD colorway. It’s got a royal blue upper with a white/orange gradient Hyperfuse sectional with a solid white outsole, black midsole, Lin’s ’17′ jersey detailed on the ankle, and ‘LIN’ printed on the tongue. Want to order the exact same one? Go directly here to Nike ID where the exact design is already arranged (pick your own number and iD), and watch Jeremy play in these Hyperfuse Lows during the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend.

Nike Basketball has issued a number of ‘Think Pink’ sneakers to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and with the late great NC State coach’s 69th birthday having come on Monday, it’s a good time to see the latest ribbon-bearing release. The Nike Zoom Hyperfuse for women pictured above in a lowtop cut is among the more pleasing models in the line so far, thanks to a smokey peppermint twist of Dark Grey and Pinkfire II. Having only seen the latter on a jaw-dropping pair of Hyperdunk 2010s late last year, we see proof that not every Pinkfire II release will carry that same metallic sheen, but if the shine had to come off it’s hard to imagine a better design to break the news. Click through for a better look at the ‘Think Pink’ Hyperfuse Low and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date. via LTD
