Veteran actor Chi McBride has long been a man known for his enviable sneaker arsenal and is no stranger to turning heads with his footwear choices. Chi was recently snapped doing just that on the set of the TNT show HawthoRNe in a pair of the recently released Wimbledon Court Victory Pumps from the Packer Shoes x Reebok ‘Grand Slam Pack.’ Never one to shy away from a bold look, Chi keeps it fresh for summer while enjoying a cigar and a script in his green suede Pumps. We can only hope that the kicks slipped through the wardrobe process and wound up on his feet during the show’s filming, but we’ll just have to wait to see.

Summer is officially here, and this Sunday, the grill will be blazing and the PBR will be flowing as Packer Shoes welcomes the legendary Biz Markie to help celebrate their recent PRO-Keds collaboration with a backyard BBQ. Leather colorways of the classic PRO-Keds 69er Lo are available at the store and online now in black, olive and the Packer exclusive white. The shoe will be packaged along with a special t-shirt and Biz USB keychain and will also grant you entrance to the barbecue. Space will be limited so you’ll need one to get in, but the chance to toast burgers and Pabst Blue Ribbons with Biz should be well worth the price of admission. Those who placed orders online can pick up their shoes and BBQ admission pass beginning at 12:30 pm on Sunday, and anyone looking for a last-minute pair can grab them then as well. Hip-hop and sneaker culture icon Biz Markie will make his mark once again by way of a new collaborative release with Packer Shoes and the PRO-Keds 69er. Sneaker News already filled you in on a special Biz Markie x PRO-Keds Backyard BBQ at Packer Shoes on June 26th, but here’s some additional information on this upcoming release; of the three colorways, the black and olive green versions are limited to just 300 pairs a piece, while the white versions are a Packer exclusive, featuring a Packer Shoes molded leather logo imprint on the heel (and limited to just 150 pairs). Each of the three features a gold Biz Markie logo on the tongue, and will come accompanied by a Packer Shoes x PRO-Keds x Biz Markie t-shirt and a Biz Markie USB Keychain (holding 1 GB). All three are available now at Packer Shoes in-store and online, so check out the detailed images, as well as a video interview with Biz Markie after the jump. If you’ve been drooling over pics of the outrageous Wimbledon Court Victory Pumps from the Packer Shoes x Reebok ‘Grand Slam Pack,’ tomorrow is the day. With the green grass-inspired suede uppers, the Wimbledon Pump creatively captures the essence of the UK leg of tennis’s Grand Slam in bold fashion. With the first two legs of tennis’s 2011 Grand Slam in the books, it’s time to quickly turn our attention to the upcoming Wimbledon kick-off and the coinciding release of part three of the Packer Shoes x Reebok Court Victory Pump Grand Slam Pack. The French Open edition turned a lot of heads with its wild clay splattered canvas, but there were still plenty of creative juices flowing by the time it came to the Wimbledon design. As you can see, the UK installment features a nappy green suede intended to mimic the grassy courts of Wimbledon. Additional purple accents complete the Wimbledon color scheme topped off with a neon yellow tennis ball Pump tab on the tongue. With the tournament set to start shortly, look for these to hit Packer Shoes in the coming weeks.
