And while partners the likes of Bad Bunny are modifying the silhouette’s DNA with their joint-efforts, others like Packer Shoes are preserving the sneaker’s heritage while delivering refreshing updates.
Utilizing the Forum ’84 Hi, one of adidas Originals‘ most premium propositions at the moment, the boutique has revisited classic “Collegiate Navy,” “Collegiate Green” and “Collegiate Maroon” tones found across old school varsity sports gear for a trio of sneakers. The aforementioned colors serve as contrasting accents to predominantly off-white ensembles that further harken back to adidas Forum’s debut era, appearing at the profile 3-Stripes, sock-liner and outsole. Unlike other collaborations within Packer’s roster, the upcoming pairs opt for minimal co-branding, further allowing the high-top offerings to revel in a “timeless” aesthetic. Premium tumbled and smooth leather, hairy suede and breathable mesh have been utilized for the shoes, which will surely allow them to age gracefully.
