Sneaker Con returned to NYC this past weekend, opening up to one of the biggest crowds in Sneaker Con history. With an endless line-up wrapping around the entire block for most of the day, sneakerheads from the tri-state area showed up to buy, sell, and trade their kicks in time for the Holiday season. Again, adidas Originals represented with a sick look-see preview of its upcoming Originals and Jeremy Scott models, and hundreds of vendors and patrons filled up the venue with some of the latest sneakers to have hit the market. It was sneaker hysteria for the entire event, and as the day wore on, sellers made some attractive deals to unload some of their stock, like offering free snap-backs or discounted t-shirts with sneaker purchases. Sneaker Con once again proved to be the best sneaker event of its kind, but for those who are SCNYC veterans, say good-bye to the venue because the next time Sneaker Con hits the Big Apple, it’ll be at a larger venue. Check out a quick recap from the event below and don’t forget that Sneaker Con will hit Los Angeles next week on December 17th!

An event so nice, they had to do it twice (in one weekend). Sneaker Con visited the nation’s capital for the second time in 2011, and with the April 2011 showing breaking all-time records (2,500+ came through), Sneaker Con doubled its hours and made it into weekend-long festival, celebrating the hottest sneakers in the game in one of the biggest sneakerhead regions on the globe. As expected, Foamposites shined through, as it is a popular pick in the area, but there was a diverse collection of footwear in the entire room, such as Jordans, Air Maxes, SB Dunks, adidas Originals, and other great brands. If you missed out on this monster weekend-long event, we’ve got a nice recap for you below, so take a look at the Sneaker Con DC August 2011 Event Recap and stay tuned for a ‘Feet’ feature later tonight.

Sneaker Con, the most celebrated sneaker summit in the world, finally hit Miami this past weekend as the doors of the Fieldhouse in the University of Miami opened its doors to thousands of eager sneaker fans and vendors of all kinds. It was the first such occasion for Sneaker Con, and the Miami natives as well as the sneakerheads who traveled long and far to arrive did not disappoint with their fervent passion for the footwear sub-culture. Youngsters set up shop on the carpeted floor, looking to sell or trade their kicks with there peers, while others came to experience the unstoppable fashion phenomenon. Another note of interest: these sneaker-centric events are typically male-dominated affairs, but Miami proved to have quite a number of female sneaker fiends – more so than D.C. and NYC. It was yet another successful trip for Sneaker Con, so check out the event recap of Sneaker Con Miami and stay tuned to Sneaker News for a ‘Feet’ recap of the event!
