The sneakers made their debut in 1966 featuring a canvas upper and the signature rubber outsole for grip purposes. Vans Vault returns with their latest Vans Authentic, which continues in the tradition of the previously released Vans Sk8-Hi LX that features the cartoon “Skate Monkeys” print. Designer Taka Hayashi returns to the silhouette and features the monkey pattern on a canvas upper while the toebox gets hit with a premium suede material. Two colorways are available like a “Dune” pair that is treated to a green canvas base while a suede toebox offsets the contrasting yellow laces. Then there’s the “Eclipse” pair that has an off-white base while accents of navy and red round things out.
