With the recent retros of the Air Tech Challenge 1 and 2, it would seem obvious that 3 and 4 retros would be on the way as well. No word on those two yet but an hybrid of a few ATCs are on the way out for 2009. From the looks of it, pieces of the Air Tech Challenge 1, 2, 3 and IV along with the colors of the ATC IV are combined to create this Air Tech Challenge Hybrid. This new model is scheduled for release Spring 2009.

The originals are my all-time favorite but what the hell is up with the re-release? Nike has gone too far lately in bastardizing original designs with ridiculous colors and materials. I’d rather they left this one alone.

Technically, the Air Tech Challenge’s that were retroed were the ATC II’s (Lava) and III’s (sonic yellow). The hybrid above is a combination of ATC II, III & IV…
These look horrible. Nike, do us all a favor and just bring back the ATC IV’s (the ones in the ad).

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH NIKE ? WHY DON’T THEY JUST MAKE WHAT EVERYBODY WANTS. SIMPLE REDO THE CHALLENGE LOW’S IN ALL OF THE ORIGINAL COLORS AND ALL OF THE CHALLENGE MIDS IN THE ORIGINAL COLORS. ALSO THE ATC IV’S IN ALL OF THE ORIGINAL COLORS. EVERYBODY WANTS THEM – THEY WILL SELL – AND THEY STILL HAVE YET TO PRODUCE ANY TENNIS SHOE THAT COMES CLOSE TO THE LOOKS AND COMFORT OF THE TECH,S. I JUST DO NOT GET IT. THE ONLY REPO’S SO FAR WORTH A DAMN HAVE BEEN THE LAVA AND BLUE AIR TECH CHALLENGE II’S THE REST OF THERE EFFORTS SUCK. THE LOW THAT THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE LOOKS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE COLORS AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE SCRAPPED THAT IDEA. SOMEBODY GOT TO HAVE THE BRAINS AT NIKE TO GET IT TOGETHER !!!
