The entire spectrum of Nike, Inc.’s Air Jordan Holiday 2023 Retro Collection hasn’t been delivered to the public, but more sneak peeks of next year’s pairs continue to emerge.
The Air Jordan 1 “Latte” was first rumored in mid-September, but an early look at the women’s sneaker recently surfaced. Reminiscent of and already compared to 2020’s “Mocha” retro, the upcoming pair marries Air Jordan heritage with the flavour du jour to create what some may consider a “modern classic.” Leather panels around the toe box keep things simple in a “Black” finish, contrasting the “White”-colored base layer visible at the forefoot and across much of the mid-foot. Overlays along the tongue and at the profiles join panels around the collar with a pitch-dark arrangement. The “Latte” hue appears via the lower heel and ankle flaps, completing original “Black Toe” color-blocking on the unreleased Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
Underfoot, the sole unit sees Brand Jordan continue to participate in the “Neo-vintage” trend that’s dominated footwear over the last three years. Midsoles opt for a yellowed makeover for an “aged” aesthetic, while Peter Moore’s iconic outsole design takes on more light coffee-like goodness.
Enjoy an extremely early look at the pair ahead. The “Latte” 1s are set to hit Nike SNKRS and other retailers come May 29th, 2024 for $180 USD.
