Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” Releases On May 2nd

One of this year’s key Air Jordan 4 retros now has a release date. Thirteen years removed from its debut, the Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” will see its first return to shelves on May 2nd, 2026. That news coincides with the most detailed images of the sneaker we’ve seen yet.

Arguably one of the best and most memorable new Jordans of its era, the “Toro Bravo” 4s were sought-after when they released and later skyrocketed in demand during the pandemic resale market bubble. On top of sporting Bulls colors, collectors immediately drew parallels to the also-popular Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull” pack from four years prior.

The 2026 edition maintains the theme of the original, although there are a few key points of discussion. First, at least based on this initial set of images, the shade of red used is noticeably dimmer and less vibrant than that of its predecessor. The shape has also been updated in line with other recent retros, an across-the-board shift Jordan Brand made following the release of the first Nike SB Jordan 4.

Perhaps most noteworthy is that Jordan Brand has maintained the Jumpman logo on the heel. This used to be the standard for all non-original Jordans and their subsequent retros, but the last few seasons have seen the brand change its tune (see the UNDEFEATED 4s, Black Cat 4s). While many prefer Nike Air on the heel, making it the standard arguably diminishes its “aura” and makes OG colorway retros less special. Thus, many are of the opinion that Jordan Brand should return to its old unwritten rule.

Again, the Air Jordan 4 “Toro Bravo” releases May 2nd, 2026. Pairs will be available via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. See detailed images below if you’re planning to cop.
