Just yesterday we posted the what we thought was the newest Nike Air Yeezy colorway in Red, Grey, and White but after hearing from many of our loyal readers as well as Kanye’s barber, Ibn Jasper aka Ferrari Murakami, we are now being told that this pair that was spotted at the 2008 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Show are in fact FAKE. For years there have been those so called sneakerheads who try to fool us with their crazy colorways of Air Jordans or deadstock Pigeon Dunk SB’s, so this should come as no surprise that the one of the most anticipated shoes from Nike has been bootlegged and made available to buyers via fake sneaker websites or the flea market. Thus we want to apologize to our readers who thought this was an actual colorway made by Nike and Kanye West of the Nike Air Yeezy and thank those of you who chimed in and told us that they were fake. via Ferrari Murakami

ok…. How could they have been fake if Kanye was wearing them? YOU, Sneakernews.com, made me think that these pics were of Kanye or Kanye’s own crew so how in the world could they have been fake? I really like this colorway but will never support fakes. So who is this mystery person with fake Air Yeezy’s? Like who’s feet are those?

Can’t believe someone would wear fake shoes to such a big event, frikin dead beat you have all that money buy something real and wear it. I’m pretty sure that person can affort some nicer shit.

I think one of the most important factors that I found questionable were the jeans that the gentleman was wearing. Nothing about those really says Kanye or any celebrity for that matter. I’m not saying every celebrity wears extremely high-end, raw, selvedge denim, but let’s face it. Those are Wal-mart or Target jeans at best. Or something by Koman or some other hood-store couture. Let’s also face another fact, because we are talking about a network of blogs, and the slough of information that comes in…it’s really hard to be able to tell what is fact and what is fiction prior to press-time release. These blogs stream the info as soon as they get it. It’s more like breaking news reel rather than a newspaper that has about 18-hours to verify sources etc before it goes to press. Anyway, the true dummies are the clones that feel that streetwear fashion hypebeast sites are infallible. They aren’t, nothing is… I still haven’t forgiven kanye for his damned denim button up shirt!

Man who cares if they are fake. You cats need to get a life. The shoes is dope, Nike ain’t paying none of you shoe inspectors. If I can get them I will, they are dope. If you are a fresh cat then you make shoes the shoes don’t make you!!!
