Nike Air Yeezy Prototype
The most publicized and hyped sneaker of 2009, the Nike Air Yeezy, is less than a week away from releasing in limited quantities across the globe, so it’s only right that our friends over at Complex sat down with the two people behind the Air Yeezy, Nike Creative Director of Special Projects, Mark Smith and of course, Kanye West, to discuss how the Air Yeezy came about. The project itself started shortly after the Air Force 1 25th Anniversary Event in New York City, as Kanye explains that’s when he “sat there and drew countless forms of shoes, and a lot of them were inspired by Back to the Future, by the McFlys or whatever people call them—I just call them the Mags”. The in depth feature of the interview with the two creative geniuses can be found in the April/May issue of Complex which features non other than the Louis Vuitton Don on the cover with the photography for the cover being shot by Chris Milk. via Complex

Should’ve went with the original sole of the prototype(never seen anything like that before which would’ve made more sense since you’re creating a NEW shoe) and the larger Swoosh! The final design of the shoe is wackness…Chinatown knocks off are taking the bottom sole of the Jordan 3 and slapping the rest on it…Horrible! I rather spend $215-$250 on some retro joints before i ever waste money on these boring moonboots…Sorry not a fan!

The Prototype midsoles look a bit similar to the Air Jordan 2s. Not really, but they probably come closest.
