If December hasn’t been an exciting month of Jordan-filled goodies, here’s a look at the Air Jordan Alpha 1 in Black/Varsity Red/White. It’s a spin-off of the Black/Red Jordan 1 Mid with some interesting design cues. First and foremost, the perforated toebox, tongue, and center panel is something rarely seen on an Air Jordan. The Nike Terminator-esque midsole is something to note, as is the African tribal pattern on the sole. A plethora of personal touches are also evident, like the “Since ‘85” established on heel and the note of thanks on the insole. These are set to drop on January 16, 2010, but keep yours eyes on the TV as these are slated to be worn in games by Jordan Brand NBAers. Grab your pair from Kinetics.

I really really really…..HATE this shoe. But not as much as I hate the AJ 2010′s.

i like the concept of updating it. the herringbone pattern on the sole for traction, the preforated upper and if i’m not mistaken i think it has zoom air too.this is more of a tribute shoe.a what if? concept.cool to look at but not to wear.

Yo whats the point of buying a shoe so damn close to a 1, but it not being a 1? Stupid. Its like buying an AJF to complete your collection, it don’t count

why do they have to brand it sooo much with logos??? why cant they keep it clean and simple…”since 85″ duhhh we all frekkkkin know that but does it have to be displayed on the shoe??? or the jumpman on the back…just eliminate it! i like it at 1st but now that i see all that..passsss..jordan brand shoulve just been NIKE..plain and simple

I am REALLY into this shoe! A throwback to the shoe that started it all but you can a) Actually play basketball in these and not wreck your feet & b) Not look like freakin’ Ronald McDonald at the same time because this shoe actually has some form to it unlike the AJ I. Look at yourself in the mirror from a side profile. If you rock 1′s and wear anything bigger than a 10-10.5… you look like Bozo the clown! Sorry for the truth!

these are nice but im not a fan of these. the retro 1s in the bulls vs celtics pack look better.
