Word association game? A sneakerhead would respond to “1985″ with “Air Jordan 1″ with unflinching speed and without a second thought. There’s no shame in that; the Air Jordan 1 is THE shoe that started the sneaker-collecting craze, and the constant release of retros keeps up hungry and wanting more. Amid all the Air Jordan releases we’re expecting this year, get ready for the knock-out punch that’ll top ‘em all; the return of the Air Jordan 1 AJKO.
After a quarter-century after its original release, the AJKO rejoins us donning the same canvas upper that made it the standout that it was. The reincarnation of Air Jordan 1 KO is almost spot-on with the materials and AJKO Wings logo, but there are a few minor details that might cause some stir. The Jumpman logo has replaced the OG Nike Air logo, but that’s expected with all Air Jordans post Nike-JB split. The bottom sole, however, takes on a Nike Dunk/AJ1 sole, and the midsole is given the “dirty” treatment, as seen on Nike’s vintage rehashings like the Nike Vandal Nylon VNTG. For the Jordanheads out there who may not be familiar AJKO, consider these the ultimate retro of 2010. If you simply cannot wait, these are available via overseas purchase at taobao.

not saying that the vintage treatment looks bad, however,i hate the idea of having something look vintage when in actuality its brand new.. i think they couldve done without the yellowing sole but regardless, two pairs for me.

How many times has the AJ1 been retroed, and in how many atrocious colourways? Maybe if the 25th Anniversary AJ1 was white and GREY, then it might be the ultimate. But we haven’t seen the AJKO since they first dropped, making them the truest retro of 2010.

NSBCollector – If you were referring to the white-on-white Jordan XI (which are definitely a sick release as well), it’s not even a true retro. Not an OG colourway, not even a Jumpman logo.

For those of you claiming to want to clean off the yellow…….your stupid. The yellow is also in the stiching and the bottom red sole is also made to look vintage. This is a vintage show made to look vintage. In my opinion you shouldant even wear this shoe. If you dont like how they are go buy(copX35)regular Jordan 1s that come out every month. Duece
