Nike basketball and the Automotive industry seem to be running in parallels. In the late 90’s and early 00’s, Nike basketball kicks were SUV-like, tipping the scales at over 4 lbs. per pair. Over the last few years, Nike started to offer kicks with its primary goal being lightweight capability, going the hybrid-car route. Check out these new shots of the Nike Hyperfuse, a hybrid in its own, yet it’s not quite clear what it is a fusion of. What we do know is that the upper material will be Nike’s new Torch material, offering the utmost in breathability and lightness. The Nike Hyperfuse is part of Nike Basketball’s Fall 2010 Line, so we wouldn’t be surprised if these become the new “it” Hyper basketball shoe of the ’10-’11 season. via SC.
