Jordan Brand’s ‘For the Love of the Game’ collection first appeared in an NYC event we covered as part of Nike/JB/Converse’s Fall 2010 Basketball showcase. The heart/basketball logo that appeared on that range popped up yesterday on the latest retro of the ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan VII, which initially confused some readers. With the awareness that these are tied in with the first World Basketball Festival later this summer, the ‘competitive’ colorway makes sense, and MJ’s training ethic is the stuff of legend. Enter the Air Jordan PreGame XT, a shoe designed specifically to facilitate superior comfort, cushioning and traction during pre-game drills. These are done in University Blue, black and white, with the aforementioned FTLOTG insignia on the heels.
