Earlier this morning Sneaker News showed you new images of the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey in GS (grade-school) sizes. Instead of having to extrapolate visions of a mens sizes from those images, check out these new shots of the Cool Grey XI for men. The first point of interest that was a hot topic of conversation from earlier this morning was the blue tint on the translucent soles, which looks to be evident on the mens pair as well. Is it the lighting? The same “issue” arose with Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary release in May; the ice sole appeared clear in some pictures and lighting and slightly blue in altered settings. Perhaps the blue tint is a result of a special treatment to prevent or slow down the yellowing process? Regardless of the apparent color confusion, the Cool Grey XI will surely be a hot commodity once it drops, so check out these new images of the upcoming Retro and let us know what you think; does the blue tint bother you, please you, or is it a non-issue? via hoopchina.

I like the blue tint it does look better and it also would stop the sole from turning yellow. I would like to buy a shoe and be able to wear them then let them sit in the closet with it turning a different color. Rather or not your rough on your shoes or not. The blue tine should come on the men’s.

The patent leather looks darker then the ogs. Not feeling that…not really feeling the bottoms either on this particular colorway at least..

Blue soles oppose to the original clear soles are what throws this shoe off a little. I think it will help with aging though…. The original 'Cool Grey' are my absolute favorite Retro Jordan. No matter what, these will still be a cop for me…

I can see where they are coming from on the blue sole but if they gave you a plastic box and instructions how to store them yellowing wouldn’t be as serious. Still copping as greys are my favourite xi.
The only way to satisfy Jordan heads is to give us time machines and cryogenics chambers to keep things icey…

These are my favorite Jordans ever! I got the original ones when I worked at Footaction when I was in high school, but then they got stolen and I never had an extra $400-$600 to get another pair on the aftermarket…I think that justifies wanting 3 pairs…

well we have differing philosophies. I buy 1 pair and when ive worn them out, thats it. I move on to other sneakers. your style should always be evolving, so in my eyes, theres no point in having 3 pairs of the same shoe. gotta change it up

In my opinion, they should've put a sealer on the icey sole so that way we CAN wear them in weather conditions but we also need too put our own protectant on it. Also, truthfully, I am feeling the blue. That way if you wear them and they get dust, when you get home you don't gotta worry about nothing because it wasn't noticeable when you got out!

no im into sneakers, but i also like varying kinds, i find it dumb to buy 3 pairs of the same sneakers, when i can get flints, some sb's and these.. And a "grail" is whatever u want it to be bot what jordan tells you. just becuz its limited doesnt mean its the greatest shoe on eartj.

it looks like they really got these right…the quality looks alot better than the space jams…there arent those obnoxious dots on the midsole like the jams…pretty exited for these
