Nike’s retro-release strategy has been pretty straight-forward over the last few years; select the most memorable basketball silhouettes of years ago (like the Air Max CB34), release them in the original colorways, and pick out some new color combinations that are both pleasing to the eye and fitting with the current times. Glass Blue doesn’t have much to do with Barkley but it sure is a nice colorway on this classic Barkley sneaker; the primary color stays the same but the midsole and outsole take on the vibrant tone that helps you forget any doubts you might’ve had. This is certainly a colorway that would’ve been a success if it released in the 90′s – “better late than never” surely applies here. Take another look at the Air Max CB34 in Black, Glass Blue, and Metallic Silver and pick up a pair from 95soleman on eBay.
