The sneaker cake started off as a unique twist a birthday tradition to what is now a growing epidemic in the sneaker sub-culture. Combine the love of kicks and the love of cakes and you’ve got a tasty treat that looks too good to even eat. This latest sneaker cake is modeled after the jump upcoming Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’, made complete with a Foot Locker receipt with a birthday message to Nano. This one of a kind feature shows off not only the finished product, but a few in-between steps, like the base layer of the actualy cake and the actual ‘boot’ mold used to create the silhouette. A glossy finish is used for the mudguard for the patent leather look and a matte finish is used on the upper to complete the authentic Cool Grey XI look. Check out the entire gallery after the jump and let us know where this ranks among Air Jordan XI cakes.
