Most of the best Asics collaborations available to US sneakerheads in the last few years have been designed by David Z’s Ronnie Fieg. Ronnie’s ‘NiceKicks 2.0’ Gel Lyte III beat their Cool Grey muse to retail by releasing on October 1st, and a half a world away, mita sneakers released their own GLIII a day later. The type of thing you’d usually only be able to get as a Japanese resident, the mita sneakers x Asics Gel Lyte 3 ‘Kirimomi Project’ features tonal black construction including a subtle animal print atop a white sole, along with colorful insoles. The Kirimomi Project GL3 has been (leopard) spotted in a single size 9.5 and is available for a short time from Shaolin8 on eBay.
