Not long ago Sneaker News showed you the Jordan Evolution ’85, Jordan Brand’s latest Basketball/Trainer shoe that featured two straps – one at the forefoot and one at the ankle. Dwyane Wade seemed to have favored these during some offseason workouts, and so Jordan Brand had plans to release this shoe in two colorways for Spring 2011. At the risk of sounding redundant, the Evolution has changed quite a bit; first off, these jumped the clock and are available now, and secondly, the ankle strap – perhaps the one feature that made this Jordan shoe unique – is now gone. Evolution is defined as ‘change over time’, and clearly it didn’t take long for this one to do so. Check out the extra images of the Jordan Evolution ’85 after the jump and grab this new Jordan Brand release over at Finishline, and let us know which version – strapped or un-strapped – you prefer.

Funny how everyone is opposed to new creations of Jordans nowadays. I remember a day when the originals were equally despised! 10 years from now, these shoes will be loved. They're decent.
