This year’s Black History Month motif shared by Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse is ‘A Call To Greatness’, which celebrates the proud accomplishments in the sport of basketball achieved by Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Julius Erving. For 2011, the basketball footwear triumvirate unveiled a special capsule of iconic footwear silhouettes that adopted the Black History Month theme. One of the four included in the pack is the Converse Star Player EV; it features a supreme black and gold colorway with a nubuck logo, waxed laces, a gold rubber outsole, a tumbled leather upper, and the Black History Month graphic laid in clear varnish print. These are available now at Converse so take a look at the detailed images below and don’t miss out on this commemorative pair of Converses.
