In 2009, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 was the ‘it’ shoe. If you didn’t have a pair, you were just a step behind the rest, regardless of your Griffey fandom or indifference. One of the hottest shoes of the 90′s returned with an unflappable vengeance in ’09 and was an instant inclusion in the Top 30 of the year. The Air Griffey Max GD II was hit with the sophomore slump, but the real sequel to the AGM1 should be a nice rebound because the OG Fresh Water colorway just became available.
