Just yesterday, Ronnie Fieg showed off a new pair of his Converse Star Player 75 collaborative designs, a red lowtop edition that Wiz Khalifa wore on Letterman and is set to hit retail on Saturday. They seemed to come out of nowhere after the two hightop pairs released in mid-March and now Ronnie’s dropping even more unexpected heat in the form of a third hightop edition. This new Star Player 75 is done in a tonal colorway with leather laces and a perforated calfskin lining like all the rest, but instead of the rich leather that’s covered those pairs’ vamps, these joints go for premium grey nubuck on the upper. This ice cold look will also be limited to 240 pairs, and just like the reds, they’ll hit David Z’s New York flagship on Friday, April 15th.
