After our extensive coverage of Jordan Geller’s ShoeZeum, Sneaker News has been on the hunt for some true Air Jordan artifacts, particular original Jordans from decades ago. We recently showed you a pair of OG Air Jordan III True Blues, but it’s amazing to see yet another pair pop up for sale – one that’s in such great condition. The upper looks completely brand new, with the luxurious leather and noticeably thinner elephant print on the toe, heel, and lace-placket. The True Blue III is set for a Retro release this June, and to see the changes from OG to third reissue is quite interesting. Needless to say, Nike/Jordan Brand’s manufacturing methods have changed quite a bit, so let’s just hope the 2011 version holds up as well as these do. We’ve got a gallery of images awaiting you, so take a look and check out the auction from member567534 on eBay.

The same people who say "whoever buys these is dumb" are the same people that dont wear their shoes anyway.
Buying these is like buying the 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante Coupe.
Sure they are both old as hell and cant serve their original purpose anymore but they are original and will never be made again. Both the car and the shoe are now just decoration pieces.
They just dont make them like they used to. This is true for ANYTHING.

Ikr! SN like theyre in great condition. Uh that midsole used to be white and now it is brown. Thats not good condition. I mean for such an old shoe it is but still I would never buy that. NO point

It doesn't get more fragile then that. One touch…and POOF…I'm even scared to look at them because they might break!
May 5th, 2011 at 6:47 am
This is the very reason why I wear all my kicks…not need to spend that bread to have them look like they fresh from the goodwill when its all said and done! lol! Much respect for holding on to those joints for so long but sheeeeeeeesh!
May 5th, 2011 at 10:48 am

May 5th, 2011 at 11:55 am
Its like buying a poorly running 1970 dodge challenger over a 2012 challenger. You aren't buying it to drive around in every day; you are buying it because its a rare piece of automotive history. one day, there may not be anymore 70 challengers around, so you buy it to preserve that piece of history.
May 5th, 2011 at 12:24 pm
there not even that bad actually just some minor cracks and yellowing, its still white, i'd cop if i had money to blow, touch it up alittle, wear 1 time box it back up, call it my collectors item its a wrap
May 5th, 2011 at 12:46 pm
uh no you're wrong….unlike sneakers…vintage cars can be restored both mechanically and aesthetically. Parts can be restored, panels can be sanded down and repainted, engines can be rebuilt. Sneaker soles just crumble into nothing.
May 5th, 2011 at 12:48 pm
Quality on new shoes are actually better in terms of longevity, or at least what Tinker said. The new foam they use is less prone to bacteria/crumble syndrome. But yeah, the leather is shit.
May 5th, 2011 at 4:56 pm
smart one, if u restore all the pieces the car aint vintage anymore
May 5th, 2011 at 5:02 pm
you really don't know what the #@!$ your talking about smh, the retros aren't even leather there synthetic these are much much better quality
May 5th, 2011 at 5:05 pm
