The 1997 NBA Draft was one of the more underrated draft classes of our generation, producing future Hall Of Famer Tim Duncan and NBA stars Tracy McGrady and Chauncey Billups. Although it didn’t pan out as well as they’d hoped, the Cleveland Cavaliers were excited about their new youngster backcourt, comprised of Stanford point guard Brevin Knight and Kentucky standout Derek Anderson. Anderson (with his finely trimmed goatee) was later picked up as a Jordan Brand athlete, as made evident by the Air Jordan Player Exclusive he wore throughout his career, like this Air Jordan II Low with ‘Loyal 1’ stitched on the upper. Anderson’s career didn’t exactly live up to the MJ standard (then again, whose did?), but he did manage to take home a championship ring in 2006 as a supporting player with the Miami Heat.
