Many Nike Retro releases garner as much excitement as new releases do, and even with a plethora of great sneakers dropping tomorrow, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in the OG ‘Freshwater’ colorway will be regarded, by some, to be one of the best Retro releases of the year. Ken Griffey Jr.’s star legacy has been overshadowed by a number of controversial MLB stories concerning PEDs, lockouts, monster contracts, and so forth, so allowing for the Nike Griffey comeback was one of the best decisions by Nike. These will certainly be a hot commodity for the remainder of the summer and into the school year, as will this sick Vandal-A matching t-shirt, inspired by the Da Vinci Diagram. Be on the lookout tonight at midnight on NikeStore and tomorrow as they will officially hit stores (although they have been spotted at many retailers earlier). man i had it so my money was goin be right on the 10th then nike fucks me on pushes them up. fu nike! i hope they sit for a few days, unfortunately i wear size 12 so i'm prolly fucked. might just cop 2 pairs of the metallic Vs and tryn trade

not disagreeing but the official color on the box says Freshwater..cause thats what the color Nike used is but yeah i still call them the Emeralds too

I went to nike store online and they were sold out just 2min past midnight. Eastbay however came through. Go there now if you already haven't.

Last I checked this colorway was known either as "Emerald" or "Mariner Emerald" . But not "Freshwater" . Anywho , still a great Air Griffey Max 1 to purchase nonetheless .

These joints came out already they cost $140 Idk about little kids size they probably $20-30 cheaper. These griffeys are alight but I am going get the the 5's instead they look sexy a'f.

Man sz. 12 soldout like less then a minute on nikestore…. i was like dam*n is this an error in the system that the size 12 wasnt on here… i went to there twitter and they was like sz 12 is soldout… i was able to cop the space jams, cool greys, year of the rabbits 2011 & 7s, & kobe grinches, but the damn griffeys slip through my hands haha!!

I got mine july 29 one of the first to cop besides jordans griffeys are the best retros ever!!!!!
