The home-run has become less of a sexy stat thanks to rampant usage of performance-enhancing drugs by once-revered baseball superstars. However, Ken Griffey Jr. has been kept ‘exempt’ from these accusations because of his ‘natural’ ability; Griffey did own one of the sweetest swings in Major League history, and outside of gaining a few pounds in his midsection, the only bodily transformation Griffey experienced was a severe case of Sotos syndrome, as a result of over-consuming Mr. Burns’ nerve tonic. In any case, his untouchable stardom has led to a successful signature line with Nike and a successful Retro push over the recent years, and the upcoming Air Max Griffey Fury – a hybrid of Nike’s new-age tech with the Air Diamond Fury – is a sign of many great things to come for Ken Griffey’s kicks. Check out the detailed gallery of the upcoming ‘Freshwater’ colorway of the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury and let us know what you think of the design. via RMK.
