With Kobe still trailing behind MJ in the rings department, the man can only hope that if he ever does lock down a sixth championship that he can do so in a shade of the epic fashion that Jordan did. Of course when Jordan sank that ‘Last Shot’, he was wearing the Air Jordan XIV in Black/Varsity Red, a sneaker set to hit stores again this holiday season. The signature ‘bred’ colorway is always a good look for Air Jordan retros, and this one is even more special given that immortal moment in sports history that it represents. The mixture of suede and leather stays true to the original release that came at the tail end of the Tinker era, with the overall design of the sneaker being inspired by Jordan’s Ferrari. They did change something! The XIV isn't red! I knew they'd change something!...don't really care though, still one of my favorite shoes ever because of the memory I have of trying to figure out what shoes Jordan changed into in the middle of the game and the last shot.

Yea suede difference is a no go for me.. I've seen a lot in my sz on ebay for about $130 also maybe its these pics but I don't see the sparkle stuff on the side panels like on the '05s.. if they're still on shelves in January I'll kop.

they deff changed the front toe tab the suede looks diffrent yet the sneaker looks up to par guess once i cop them ill chech out the suede.
wasnt feelin em because of the suede change but these pics actually make them look better. i was gonna cop anyway but def coppin now 4 sure
these wil sell but after xmas..everyone and their grandma wants the concords! these will fly after xmas when peeps have the xmas money and once cats cop the concords. i may scoop a pair but have my 05 and concords are priority!

Have never said this before but i would rather cop the pair from '05 than these joints right here. Something about this years model doesnt seem that good to me. My opinion of course.
Jamar: STILL holding my '05 Retro pair. I like to rock older Retro's every time newer retro's are announced, then laugh at all the rookie 'heads break there necks. Shoulda seen/heard kids when I wore my 99 Retro 5's 1 blk - 1wht with Nike Air on the heel before this last Retro V dropped HAHAHAHA AND I think I've worn the '07 Retro V's (both blk and white) MAYBE 10 times since they dropped? Old quality FAR MORE SUPERIOR!
What you said actually makes sense! If you don't like these 14s, then by all means get the ones you like. There's nothing wrong with that. Its just the other people who say they don't like these 14s, but then say they are going to get them regardless. And then are complaining about the quality. What these people do makes no damn sense!!

I agree, these won't sell out as qucikly, as people are predicting them too. Sure this shoe has history and is a og colorway. People predicted the 2011 metallic v's to sell out fast but some retailers such as footlocker, champs and footlocker had various sizes available online for a while. When i say sellout out, i'm not talking about cool grey or space jams status. More like flint XIII, olympic VII or true blue III's the "last shots" won't reach that status.

These are a pretty good RETRO version of the OGs. Sure they don't use the same material, but who cares?? Its not the end of the world. Anyone who complains about the quality, just man up and pay the extra cash for the OGs on ebay or flightclub or wherever. That's the only way your going to get OG material at this point. I'll sure be copping a pair of these retros.

You can get the OG for pretty cheap these days so yeah, get the ogs if you want good quality. I'll be skipping these :)
