Nike Air Max Uptempo 2 Duke Available

Nike Sportswear has satisfied older sneakerheads with a variety of retro gems this year, notable releases including the Air Trainer SC II, Air Max2 Trainer ’94 and the above pictured model that can be considered the 94′s basketball counterpart.  Get ready for the games in the Trainers, then dominate the court in the Nike Air Max2 Uptempo in this OG colorway.  It’s interesting to note that the 1994-95 season during which this shoe became associated with Duke University was sometehing like the exact opposite, the only year during the last 27 seasons the Blue Devils failed to earn an NCAA Tournament bid.  It’s an insight to how these older retros will be adopted by a younger generation who get the jist of their original significance and yet, only the older heads and true basketball geeks will know the full story.  Get in on the recycled narrative and timeless good looks with a pair purchased from Eastbay or on eBay.

Sometimes Eastbay pictures are slightly off from the real product so maybe check it out in a store before ordering from Eastbay.

  8. The OG Son God Says:

Yo… I don't know who's doing the writing for you guys, but son everybody knows that these were not worn by duke. It was actually Michigan/Golden State. This was the dude Chris Webber's signature model. I know this cause for one I owned them and two I worked at foot locker at the time. I thought you sneakernews dudes know alot about kicks I guess not, and to think when I submitted to be a writer for this site I never got a response.

They kinda scare me, not sure why.

  11. Kingel78 Says:

the colors of the whole bottom is different.
    - the rectangles in the front of the sole used to be lemon
    - the centered piece of the sole should be white with black colored rectangles
    - the visible air max unit from under the shoes used to be lemon too at the outside and not blue
…please let the retro version got SAME coloration!!!

  12. Jerronimo Says:

C-WEBB!! ……but yah like Kingel78 said: the bottom is totally different. What happened NIKE? u can't fool us.

  13. Ryan Says:

The ones at finishline have a neon air bubble….So either footlocker, footaction, eastbay are wrong or their are two versions out.
