The New Balance 580 is already ready for off-roading with its beefed up Rollbar-equipped sole, but what happens when you want to go even further into harsh environments, say, a mountain covered with snow? It’s not really made for snowboarding, but the 686 x New Balance 580s absolutely carry a bit of the sport with them thanks to Six Eighty Six’s addition of a forefoot velcro strap that serves as something of a pointer toward the dual-branded toebox. The high-contrast colorway is something you’d expect to see in Orlando more than Aspen; how do these stack up against the two’s previous tag team efforts? Have a look at more images after the jump and if you like what you see, get ’em straight from 686.
