Nike is treating the Ken Griffey Jr. signature line much like it is the Nike Air Penny line. Both players, who are highly regarded in their respective sports, still maintain a cult following years after their prime seasons. The Air Penny line has been mashed up to produce some notable hybrids like the Air 1/2 Cent and Zoom Rookie LWP, but the Griffey line has yet to see a multi-signature hybrid shoe (but stay tuned for 2012). Shoes like the Air Max Griffey Fury is a mere reconstruction of the Air Diamond Fury, with the re-make featuring a Hyperfuse-laden upper with a 360 Max Air unit with a silhouette similar to the Air Max JR. This upcoming Royal/Volt/White colorway (we’ll refer to it as the ‘Sprite’) is set for a Spring 2012 release, so check out the extra images below and let us know what you think. via kumastock.
this color way is crack but it doesn't do this shoe justice..better on the lebron 8 lows anyway..this shoe is hot in person and especially on feet..y'all will see and lots will come around once they see someone rocking them..
just give me the fury's, stop with the 360 sole just to sell another $160 shoe...its ok to sell retro's that only have the small air bubble in the back..they were $89 back in the day
just bring back the originals. the 360 air unit doesn't look good with every damn shoe you put it on. I will laugh my ass off if Nike puts 360 air on some AF1's that'll be the day
The shoe itself sucks....come on Nike, do the griffey line some justice...not even the sprite colorway can save this shoe...
no its not, its a mix up of the air max jr and air fury, his first shoe before they were called griffeys...noob
