In a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine, Derrick Rose revealed that after losing to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, he got a bit reclusive and didn’t leave the confines of house for a week, placing the blame entirely on himself. Of course, once he got out of that funk, Rose stepped back onto the court to work on his game, even taking pointers from Kobe Bryant. Rose stated he worked primarily on his isolation game (really, can it get any much better?), so come Christmas Day, watching the 2010-11 NBA MVP move around the court would be like watching a choreographed masterpiece of dance. This is where the ‘Luxury Hardwood’ colorway comes in; it features a faux wood-grain upper with a burnt black char colorway combined with a Red/Green detailing that reminds us of a certain high-end leather goods brand (no affiliation, of course). The adidas adiZero Rose 2.0 ‘Luxury Hardwood’ will hit stores nationwide at Foot Locker this December 22nd, so check out the detailed angles below and let us know which adiZero Rose 2.0 colorway you like best.
I love the way it looks, that's why I copped. But the faux wood grain upper gives some major creasing on the toe box, and the sprint web's got gap friction, causes it to squeak quite often if you're not laced up tight.
Not a huge fan of the shoe design but I love the color scheme. Very simplistic, yet very eye-catching.
Looks like xmas shoes. U can't throw GUCCI colors on something and call it luxury! I will say.. the woodgrain is nice tho.
